Day 20: Bag 20 today – our final bag, and I can’t believe I’m finally at the finish line! Today we focus on finishing off a few decorative accents inside the shop, including the tri-coloured railing posts, which together with the similarly decorated stairway we built yesterday, look fantastic and the exact sort of wacky […]

Day 17: Bag 17 today! Work begins on floor one of Weasley’s Wizard Weezes today, but not before we finished off the rounded window units of the ground floor. They look fantastic – carrying on the bowed window style from Ollivanders. That orange really pops, and now that we get to add some height to […]

Day 16: Bag 16 today! Stickers!!! Aggghhh!!! – I both love and hate stickers! On one hand they look so good, but on the other they can take a lot of trial and error placing them – especially if you’re a perfectionist (like me). I’m mainly talking about the stairs… each step has a sticker […]

Day 14: Bag 14 today! The roof goes on to both shops today; love the sloping back of Flourish & Blotts, juxtaposed with the dark brown of Fortesques. There are some lovely little accents that finish off the build, too, including a mini seating motif on the roof of Fortesques, white chairs with white horn […]

Day 13: Bag 13 today! Today we started on floor one of Flourish & Blotts; the interfloor fascia is complete with an overhanging lip and outside of the build-up of the walls, the majority of this bag focuses on the interior. There’s another bookcase, a book stack, a spellbook, lamp and an interior ‘Flourish & […]

Day 12: Bag 12 today! Today sees the addition of the shop fascias for Flourish & Blotts and Fortesques. I particularly love the angled fascias on the former! Possibly my favourite part of today’s build are the book racks outside Flourish & Blotts; anyone who has explored the backstreets of London’s St. Martin’s Lane, will […]

Day 11: Bag 11 today! Work continues on Flourish & Blotts and Fortesque with the bright yellow shop front of the Fortesques now beginning to take shape. One of our favourite parts of today’s build is the bookcase that slots into the corner of Flourish & Blotts; it’s actually a little complex with the connective […]

Day 8: Bag 8 today! Today, work begins on floor one of both The Daily Prophet and Quality Quidditch Supplies. The Daily Prophet’s angled overhang, complete with sign looks fantastic, and next to the Quidditch shopfront this actually looks like something you’d find on a high street near you (sans the magic). I was pleased […]

Day 7: Bag 7 today! Progress on the ground level of Quality Quidditch Supplies as we focus practically all of today’s build on the elaborate shopfront. It really is stunning with all that detailing; grills, window panes, signs and angled accents. The green roof is quite an odd choice of colour, but I guess it […]

Day 6: Bag 6 today, and we begin the build for Quality Quidditch Supplies and The Daily Prophet shops. As with the start of bag 1, we start with the cobbled effect street and floor tiles for the shop areas. Already I’m loving the shop front as we have a clothing rack and the Nimbus […]
