[15th, February 2019] Yabba Dabba Build! Meet Fred, Wilma and the gang from iconic 1960s American cartoon show, The Flintstones, in the first LEGO Ideas set of 2019.
The nostalgic set features Fred Flintstone’s iconic stone-wheeled foot-mobile with a retractable fabric roof – which is an all-new element for 2019 – complete with massive dinosaur rib to balance on the car, hoping it doesn’t topple over!
Fans can build the Flintstones’ house and use the four LEGO Minifigures – Fred and Wilma Flintstone and their best friends Barney and Betty Rubble – all dressed in their classic attire to recreate their favourite scenes from the classic Stone Age show.
LEGO Ideas designer Andrew Clark, who created the 748-piece Flintstones set, is also known for being behind the hugely popular LEGO Ideas Doctor Who set, released in 2015.
The Flintstone’s House entirely made out LEGO bricks includes a removeable roof, for easy play, a fun buildable palm tree, iconic stone sofa, bowling ball and pins – so Fred’s loyal best friend can pop over to relax and hit some strikes.
